In the spring of 2009, Kyle sold everything in his Chicago apartment to live in a 2008 23-foot CCD International Airstream pulled by a 2009 Volkswagen Touareg V6. For now, his job as a web app developer is location independent. He has visited every U.S. state but Alaska and Hawaii. He has visited all ten Canadian provinces (with plans to visit all three Canadian territories). He has travelled the mind-numbing interstates, two-lane scenic highways, and backcountry dirt roads—all in search of the perfect view while he works. No wife, no kids, no dog—just him.
