So I left all my winter gear in storage somewhere in Chicago. That means I will spend the winter months in the warmth of California, Arizona, Texas, and Florida. It also means very few blog updates for the next couple of months. In the meantime, be sure to follow me on Twitter!
Here are some of the sights on the “quick” westbound drive from the panhandle of Florida to the coast of California.
Mississippi/Louisiana Highlight: Leaving (to be fair, didn’t go to New Orleans — yet)
Texas Highlight: Salt Lick BBQ (yes, it is that good)
New Mexico Highlight: Carlsbad Caverns (never have I seen anything like it)
Arizona Highlight: Catalina Mountains (not bad for a desert)
Nevada Highlight: Wolf Creek Golf Club (jaw-dropping vistas)

Kyle, what is your plan? Have you found the place to settle down?
Vida, I still have a handful of places to check out before I make a final decision. My plans are to stay in sunny California for a few months, then head back over to Florida and visit the Keys. Thanks for following!
Hey Kyle, just picked you up in the Spectrum newsletter; congratulations on the life-changing decision? Glad to see your LFC degree coming in handy!
I will eventually make it through your numerous posts and photos (my wife & I would like to do this when the kids are in school), but I wonder if you can field 3 ‘burning’ questions for me:
- how successfully have you been in reaching the web (ie. the rest of the world) with your varied tether points?
- what determined your stopping points; my first thought would have been a less repetitious, more comprehensive tour?
- have you found a few candidates for “home” and you’re still enjoying the ride, or as so may RV lifers say, the road is now home?
Take care, and keep posting, so those of us stuck in chi-town can live vicariously through your adventures!
